Where Adventure Awaits!
Dive into a world of laughter and learning with Betty, the wire-haired dachshund, as she leads young readers through captivating stories with valuable lessons.
About Betty Boo Boo Books
Betty, my wire-haired dachshund, inspired me to become a book author! She shines as the main character in a selection of illustrated children's books.
Together with the fabulous illustrator Julie Shaw, we create amazing stories that are funny, endearing, and packed with moral lessons for today's children.
Betty has and always will be a naughty, charming, funny, lovable character which hopefully shows in her books.

Charming Stories
Delightful tales featuring Betty that spark the imagination and joy of reading.
Her first book tells the tale of her concerns about being different with her long body, short legs, webbed feet and wiry hair. She soon learns after a walk in the park that there are a lot of different dogs and she realises she is not such an odd bod dog after all.
Subsequent books include her learning to swim, going to the fair and overcoming her fear of heights, trying to find a drink of milk on the farm and going to school for the first time.
Illustrated Adventures
These books are beautifully illustrated by the talented Julie Shaw who has showcased her love and knowledge of animals their characters and anatomy for many years.
Her illustrations are filled with colour, delight and will amaze the reader bringing Betty's stories to life.

Life Lessons
Each story imparts valuable morals for today's children, making learning fun!
Also, hopefully giving a tool for parents and guardians to help children with the myriad of difficulties they can face in today's world
They may even inspire budding authors or artists to explore the delights of writing and drawing which are often missed in the world of technology
The two Betty lookalike toys may also allow children who do not have access to animals for whatever reason to practice their skills in empathy and who knows follow a path to veterinary skills, dog grooming or kennel maid.

Dear Susan,
Thank you so much for sending me a copy of your newly published book, Betty Boo Boo - The Odd Bod Dog.
The idea is very clever, and the illustrations are an absolute joy. I laughed out loud at the back cover. I am sure that you will be able to keep up the humour and quality in the next five Boo Boo Books. As a Dachshund owner, we have owned five in total and also bred a lovely litter of 7, I can fully appreciate why you chose one of that super breed to be the Odd Bod Dog. Maybe Boo Boo could have some fun with a Newfie in the future……!
Here is a brief review, with which I hope you are happy. “This little book tells such a lot with so few words and beautiful pictures, that I defy anyone NOT to be charmed. Young children will be captivated by it, and really learn something on the way. Dogs don’t always have a good press, but children will gain quite an understanding of them through Susan Eldred’s wit, and Julie Shaws Graphic skill. Delightful.”
With best wishes for your series’ success.
Kindest regards
Peter.
